Micaela Yawney (she/her) is a writer, poet, adventurer, and digital nomad with four years of experience working within the field of sustainability. Her undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo has led her to research and work which revolves around storytelling, sustainability education, environmental journalism, and vulnerability. You can find her as one of the voices behind the Sierra Youth Podcast, Advisor to the Global Innovation Story Map Project at Threading Change, or in the woods or up in the mountains, finding solitude in nature. She is currently working on her first collection of poetry that will appear later in 2022. Her poetry is rooted in gratitude and love for the natural world, along with speaking to the intuitive and sensitive souls of the world, and the heartache and heavy feelings that come along with being such a person.
